Discover the Highlands with Highland Spirit Tours
If you are staying in the Inverness area for a week or more then self catering accommodation offers the comfort of home and the freedom to come and go as you please. Most properties are family oriented and it's often much cheaper than a hotel. The dramatic scenery around Inverness means you can often find a cottage or lodge in a fantastic location and if you're staying for a week you'll hopefully feel less like a tourist and more like a local especially if you use the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Some cottage and lodge owners also allow pets but check first. Self catering bookings tend to run from Saturday to Saturday in Scotland but 3 day packages are sometimes available especially outside the busy summer season.
Popular self catering locations are around Loch Ness, Beauly, North Kessock and Culloden areas. If you are driving then it should be a fairly short trip into Inverness.
